Abhyangam (Oil Massage)

Massage is a popular therapy of Ayurveda. It is oleation therapy. Before the administration of panchakarma, preparation therapy was carried out. The therapeutic measures used for this purpose are called preparation therapy. Ayurvedic Oil Massage is one of them. 

Abhyangam has to do this every day to keep the body healthy. It helps to prevent as well as cure all diseases

Different lukewarm medicated oils are used for different types of massage Bala Tail, Mahamasha Tail, Ashwagandha Tail, etc. It takes 50 minutes. According to the disease and part of the body, various strokes, directions, and pressures have been applied during the massage. The abhyanga procedure has to follow the predefined sequence Hand Abhyangam, Leg Abhyangam, Neck- shoulder- Back Abhyangam. Then Vaksha sthala Abhyangam, Udar Abhyangam, Nabhi Abhyangam. After that, Facial massage, Massage of the Forehead, Massage around ears and nose, Shiro Abhyangam(Champi).
