Piles & fissure treatment

In Ayurveda piles and fissure treatment is successfully done with Ayurvedic medicines and some panchakarma therapy. In the anal opening, certain cushions are made of dilated veins that help to pass solid stool. If a person is constipated on regular basis and straining for passing stool the cushion might enlarge. This is what we called as piles. Piles are also called hemorrhoids. It may be bleeding. Most cases are related to underline constipation. In Ayurveda, piles are denoted as Arsh. In the local language, it is called mulvyadh or bavasir. A fissure is a condition in which small tear at the anal region. Piles and fissures are always associated with each other. The causes are also the same.

  • Imbalance diet
  • Lack of exercise
  • Less water intake.
  • Trauma due to heavy travelling bike or cycle riding.
  • Sedentary lifestyle.
  • Holding the urge of urine, and latrine.
  • Persistent constipation.
  • Loss of appetite.
  • Maybe result in other diseases like diarrhea or IBS.

Ayurvedic piles and fissure treatment

  • Ayurveda gives a complete cure for piles and fissures. The root cause of piles is constipation, which easily subsides with Ayurvedic treatment. The hemorrhoids in piles get completely vanish by 3 to 4 months of regular ayurvedic medicines and 8 days of anuvasana basti treatment. Bleeding also arrests within 7 days of ayurvedic medicines.

    Correction in diet habits also needs. Hot water with a decoction of herbs is to be taken at home to get fast relief. In homemade medicines, buttermilk is the best for piles and fissures. Takrarishta – the medicated buttermilk is generally recommended in every pile patient.

    Leech therapy also plays a very important role in treating piles problems. The main panchakarma used in piles is matrabasti. Matrabasti is made up of medicated oils that give strength to the anal part and destroy the vascular part that comes out of the anus. Medicated dhupan chikitsa is also suggested for Kapha dosh pradhanya piles. Mrudu virechan is suggested for piitaj dosh piles. In Vata dosh piles matrabasti is generally suggested. Nadi pariksha is used to identify which dosh is aggravated in piles patients.
