In Ayurveda, Migraine is described as Ardhavbhedak. This is a Vata-predominant disease. Migraine is a form of headache with pain typically limited to a specific region of the head and accompanied by neurological symptoms. These symptoms may include visual disturbances, nausea, vomiting, and hypersensitivity to sound or light. The young generation preferably females aged between 25 to 55 are most commonly affected with this migraine problem. Episodes of headache may occur after 10 days /15 days / 1 month or early also. Migraine treatment in ayurveda helps to get rid of from these symptoms as well as to treat it from its root cause. Majorly Vata dosh dushti is found by Nadi Parikshan in migraine patients. Along with vata, kapha, and pitta anubandh also occurs. If the kapha anubandh is there the headache starts in the morning and if the pitta anubandh then the headache starts in the afternoon. Anxiety, stress, depression, heavy workload, computer job, IT field workers, irregular diet habits, and congenital are also some reasons for the migraine.
